Ruby Ryba
I’m Ruby Ryba, an author, speaker, and screen time strategist helping people build healthier, more intentional relationships with their phones.
Before writing How To Stop Scrolling, I studied statistics at Columbia University and spent four years teaching high school math in New York City. This combination of data, education, and a fascination with human behavior now shapes the way I approach digital habits.
My work is grounded in a simple belief: your phone isn’t the villain, and you don’t need perfect discipline to use it differently. Through writing, talks, and workshops, I offer practical strategies that work in real lives: with demanding jobs, children, group texts, social media, and plenty of imperfect days.
I’m also a mother of three, an enthusiastic optimizer, and someone who occasionally needs to take her own advice. I write about attention, behavior change, motherhood, ambition, books, and the effort to live more intentionally.
